...who is generally considered a pretty smart guy, though people who detest Windows with the fervor of self-flagellating monks would probably disagree (as opposed to flatulent monks, who are a horse of a different color).

Indigo is, quite simply, an abstraction framework for ANY protocol. That means it could talk RMI as easily as SOAP. It also puts callback functionality on ANY Windows sytem, desktop included.

This is, quite simply, a good idea. Get past your Windows antipathy for two seconds and grok the concept. No, it's NOT the only abstraction framework, but it's pretty ******* elegant, IMO, and will be available on ALL windows systems.

I've been wanting something like this for awhile. It's enough to roll out dusty software ideas.
