Confusing Article
Other than finding out there are web services being used somewhere in Windows, I wasn't really able to tell from the article what this feature is.

Given that web services are XML based transactions along the lines of Remote Procedure Calls, and that both web transactions using XML and RPCs are both aged technologies (with or without SOAP), why is this feature such a big deal? Are they opening up parts of the OS to respond to external requests, such as a remote system asking for a list of files in a directory? Maybe something like asking for MS Word to run on another box?

Please tell me why I should care.
