First thought: "Good Lord!! How stupid can that developer be?"

Some rules all developers should follow:
Never, never, never run tests with live data. Never, never, never run tests on live systems. Best thing to do is have some test system in place so these things don't happen. Customer data is way too sensitive for testing. I know they can make data up to test with.
