vmware DOES require OS changes to run
In the article it is stipulated that XEN needs an OS to be modified to run it, while vmware does not. This is NOT true, there are several plug in modules needed to make vmware run on linux. While Xen may reqiure more extensive changes to the kernel, the fact remains that both it and VMWARE require changes to the kernel in order to work.
