Sun was slow to embrace, but now HP and IBM are slow to embrace the desktop
Funny how things change. SUN had too much invested in Solaris so they were slow to embrace Linux. But, now the tables are turned. HP and IBM have too much invested in the Windows desktop, and especially IBM is making a fortune supporting Windows on the desktop, so they are slow to embrace Linux on the desktop. Looks like Sun may have started late, but they are going to give HP and IBM a run for their money. Sun has zero investment in Windows desktops, and are probably the only fortune 500 company that does NOT use Windows. This will be fun to watch.
