I hear you but
I work in government and I'll tell you right now it's Apps that are the problem. Nobody cares what desktop they are using, it's about if they can run all the specialized apps. Digital camera's are the latest pain in my butt, add in scanners, copiers, network faxing, specialized police software, specialized waste management software... I could go on and on but you get the point. This is the next great hurdle for Linux, Applications...
