What's wrong with the barter system?
Way I see it, it's a good thing. Here is why I think so:

1 - Government can't tax you on it!

2 - Forces quality workmanship, if you provide crap you will get crap. If you provide quality product / service you would be amazed at what you can trade for. AND people will tall their friends and so on...

3 - Puts pride of product / workmanship back into the industry. One of the things I have noticed in our "modern" corporate driven mass produced society, is the overall quality of many products have declined severely and people still pay for it.

4 - Combine barter with cash and you can live a really decent lifestyle and (one more time now) not pay a lot of taxes.

5 - You can make new friends, and start to do what people used to do, communicate face to face. It adds a level of personal interaction that is quickly disappearing in our "modern" society.

So what's the issue with the barter system?
