No more stupid ...
... than claiming if you let all of the poor SysAdmins know about problems with your software (so they can work on their own workarounds), you might be giving some of the Black Hats a head start on exploiting them.

I've got news for you: any Black Hats that matter already know about those problems, so claiming it is news to them is REALLY stupid.
