" For mainstream users, the Centrino branding for Linux doesn't make much difference..."

With all of the stories we have seen over the last few days about how malware has become such a big issue, how can this not be good for the mainstream? I have started recommending Linux or Mac to everyone I know. It seems to me that the technical capability to opperate Linux is offset by the technical capability necessary to keep Windows clean. Mac is the best of both worlds in some ways.

There is a lot of debate over the idea that if Mac or Linux were as popular as Windows, then they would be targets too. Fine! I'll give you that one until it can be proven otherwise. Reality is that they are not targets today, though. This means that a good user friendly version of Linux is cheaper than Windows and safer. How can that be bad?
