I know better than to give a serious response to a frivolous post, but oh well.

Hey Mike, did you tell them they couldn't get a job at a major company with their .NET skills? Well, maybe they're just pure-at-heart hobbyists.

Oh and by the way, my version of academia is a major university, where I am adjunct faculty. Well the trade schools can go where they like, but the institutions of higher learning - you know, we grant MBAs and other trivial degrees, unlike your exhaulted "certificates" - pretty heavy into Java, fella.
