I run a Suse 9.1 pro file server
And the thing is easy enough to set up, even for a novice admin. I would hope that ANY admin should know DNS basics and minor httpd.conf edits. Would I put it on a point and click user's desktop... Probably not unless it were set up for basic office and e-mail tasks. I started with RH way back when but wasn't too impressed with fedora. But as with any distro, once you get used to one, it's a little difficult switching to another. However, from the CLI there isn't a big difference between any of them.
