- India has a democracy and is not like China where all US manufacturing jobs are gone. You go to any store in US and see products with chinese label on it. They come from sweat shops over there. The software industry in India is the highest paying industry in India. Software developers get paid 5-10 times more than the average pay. Allegations of sweat shop and cheap labor will not stand here. If it is just politics, rest of the world can decide not to buy US products. That will shed more jobs in US than this. Protectionism works both ways.
