- Although I applaud HP's partnership with Microsoft, their relationship with Linux is getting a little too cozy for this CIO. I have a strict rule that when a company sells me workstations and servers, they must be 100% focused on Microsoft technologies. HP is making a grave mistake here by following Linux as any type of growth area. We are looking into using Gateway servers and eMachines desktops so as to solidify our .NET base.
