Good answer....but
It apearantly isn't great enough to include in longhor. It has been stated by ms that avolon will not be in the first longhorn version. Maybe it needs a lot of work and isn't that great...yet?

It's a bit like the story of the little filesystem that couldn't. Nice on paper but nowhere near reality....I admit ....yet.

The problem I have with all of this is that MS is doing it again. They anounce longhorn as the best thing since sliced bread touting avalon and the new filesystem as revolutionary enhancements and the strip, of all things, those from the OS. What you are left with is a patch to XP and 2003 for wich you will have to pay through the nose. It might take a year or to after the release of longhorn before the revolutionary stuff comes a long. Willing to bet you will have to pay again to get them?
