And this proves...what?
>>>So SuSE is EASy to install? I tried and tried and tried (I DO have a MSCS and have 16 years of UNIX experience), but that "network install" is for the birds! It kept dropping out halfway though. What a silly way to install!<<<

I've never had a problem with a network install of SuSE.

What does either of these prove?

Since you didn't specify, exactly what do you mean by network install? If you're smart you'll ftp the install directory to a network server where you can install it on as many machines as you need to. If you're not so smart you'll try to install it from their server across a questionable internet connection. If you did the latter do you think you'd have any better luck with any other OS? It's all in the install guide on the SuSE website. Just one bit of advice. Don't ftp the entire 16 gig install directory. That has the files for every platform. Get just the i386 part, or whatever architecture you are using. Its much smaller. If you have only one machine then ftp the install directory to a second partition on your drive or a second drive. It'll install just fine that way, too.

(BTW, I do have an MCSE+I and more years of MS network admin experience than I'll say, though I am usually too ashamed to admit it. I prefer being a legal professional. I put my network admin nightmare days behind me.)
