Re: Try Try Try
"The desktop, no matter how free, has not come to the same level of end-user usefullness as the MS line."

Is the oposite then true that since MS has such ease of use for the desktop that it cannot be taken seriously as a server OS? Most MS pundits would not have us believe so. With Linus having so much more freedom on how to deploy, not only systems, but packages on the systems, it seems that Linux is uniquely positioned to eventually do both better than anyone. Since I must use the same GUI, Media Player, Instant Messanger, Internet Browser, etc. with MS no matter if I need them or not, but with Linux I can, in a very detailed fashion choose only the elements I need, I find it more robust and secure for the enterprise. For the home user, packaged distributions can, and are making great strides toward, providing a simple yet elegant solution for desktop users.

The versitility of Linux makes your statement highly unlikely. The shortcomings of MS make it plain predjudice.
