Alternatives to Windows: "...It would be much harder to get the Europeans to rip all that out and start over,"

They have done it before! In the early 80's, Commodore sold the most computers in Europe. WHile we were stuggling with crappy Windoze 1,2,3.x - the Europeans had a multitasking, multiprocessor, color GUI point and click interface computer that connected to their TVs - called the Amiga. To make a LONG death march story short, dissapeared and THEN M$ started making inroads in Europe.
