Not to be picky but
"hile also making it easy to drag and drop photos from iPhoto
into documents."

you can do this with Office for Mac X and 2004, too. I just did it
with PowerPoint. i don't believe this is the Unique Selling Point.

The big deal is that iWork fits into media business cultures
better than Office for Mac does. The French always complained
that Windows and Office had a "gas factory" skin and interface -
very utilitarian, ugly, uninspiring, looked like work - blah. Office
2003 and XP cured that.

iWork offers much more creative professionals many more
creative possiblities at a lower price. it is primarilly targeted for
marketing, media, communications-type business units as well
as SOHO users.

At $79, it is a helluva lot cheaper than Word and PowerPoint but
offers much higher quality presentations and publishable
documents. It is a nice suite for communications. No
spreadsheet - need AppleWorks or Excel for that.

Will they make a Windows version ? Will this kill Office for Mac?
No and No. I have had Keynote for years and really haven't
found it to be a better option than PowerPoint with only a few
exceptoins. I believe iWork, however, may be a much better
alternative than AppleWorks was.
