about staffing
"Service contracts are a way to obtain functions without having to hire and retain staff. That can sound appealing."

I've seen this on more than one occassion where to avoid hiring staff, usually 1 or 2 people, a company will actually spend 4-5 times what it would cost to hire two employees to do the job manually. Kind of silly is you ask me.

If a new system mean you don't have to have staff that system better be less expensive than having the staff in the first place.
