... and the subscription agreement.

Being able to download and install software is not all that's needed to use it successfully.

I think Red Hat was clear about their emphasis on enterprises as paying customers when they split off Fedora.

Public companies have the goal of making a profit, and though Red Hat's accounting methods may be questioned, their heart is certainly in the right place.
