The real reason Microsoft got into the anti-spyware biz
It is paramount that Microsoft be able to completely spy on its customers. It does so through various usage tracking. Most all of the anti-spyware can hunt down the usage tracks and get rid of them for you. This is a big threat to Microsoft's future, as they need to use and sell these customer profile and preference lists. If you don't want Microsoft to know about that cute video of the middle aged man giving a protein pudding gift to that meek abused teenybopper, then I would not use WMP..
