diversification: Any OS as long as it's Linux
..Linux is a flexible, secure and stable platform on which an infintely diverse range of useful applications can be built,...

Right. You just can't write apps for Windows.
There is no 3rd party software industry for Windows, only Linux.

..whose principal purpose is to lock out third party competition and render all other OS's as non-interoperable as possible....

Did you know that Firefox works just fine on Windows. Maybe you should advise Windows users to stay clear.

..The GUI can't be removed...

Windows son, Windows. It's in the name.

..it has taken the EU's latest court ruling to force Microsoft to even properly document the APIs...

Close, no prize.
Specifics about protocols were the center of attention. Sun now has access. The Windows API is well documented (see ref to FireFox).

.. Only Microsoft sponsored "studies" have ever indicated otherwise...

Well I have great faith in the free market. If a superior less expensive product comes into the market, there will be a response.
So far, not much response wrt clients but I never expected a revolution, change will be more gradual as indicated by first replacing Unix servers and then MS, maybe?
