"Really, tell me why then open source follows/copies MS products? (Can you say Exchange?)"
First off, M$ copied Apple and STILL continues to do so..so there's yer M$ "innovation" for ya. Secondly, it is not the concept of windows (windowing systems were around LOOOOONG before M$) but Microsoft and their abuse and attempts to stop the progression of the industry which is why they're so hated.
"Why is it so many open source people have invested so much time getting Linux to run on the XBox?"
Bwahahaha! Are ya kiddin?! That was to spite M$, not a hats off to them! NO ONE believes that it was a gesture of admiration.
"Why is it when MS developed a Windows version for the tablet every major manufacture jumped on it but still offer little or nothing in the way of Linux?"
Um, didn't you just see the article yesterday talking about a linux tablet (which costs HUNDREDS less..gee, nice without the arrogant M$ price gouge). Major manufacturers jump in because of the money. They are not envious, jealous, blah blah..I'm sorry not everyone is wedged in the M$ fanny like some..
"Why is it the CPU manufactures are building DRM into the mother boards and CPUs to support Microsoft's DRM?"
Because M$ is the first to rush "DRM" to market as an underhanded attempt to lock home users in for good and to hijack the entertainment industry. Makers of linux have no interest in controlling you or telling you how to do your computing. They are in it for the SPIRIT of computing (something apparently yer greedy savage mind just can't stand or grasp). You think DRM will only be exclusive to Windows?
"Why is it AMD went to MS and asked them to optimize Windows for their newest 64-bit chips?"
Bwahahahaha! Do you follow the news? Why is it the LARGEST software company in thw world was the LAST to arrive to the 64-bit computing table??? Linux had a 64 bit OS ready MONTHS before M$ did. A pretty sorry spectacle..Anyway, I'll answer for you: because a 64 bit OS won't make them tons of money right this second! They'll have to wait until they can rake it in, so I guess we'll all have to wait for them..oh no wait..I can do 64 bit linux right now!
"Bah, the list is to long to bother typing..."
Wulp, I've just debunked yer whole "list"..bah bah..guess yer gonna have to elaborate a little more.. - Posted by: GRindinAxTaRupy Posted on: 12/03/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
