Now Linux is finished for sure..
How will the Linux crowd counter this shrewd and brilliant move? Microsoft is literally licensing the crown jewels of the computing world to the masses. I can see this leading to the same type of media revolution as radio and TV ushered in. The economy will be booming again, with firms gaining revenue AND productivity from this IP. My MS rep told me about this the other day over breakfast and I confirmed it with him over lunch. By dinner, we had re-engineered all of our applications using this valuable IP.
