Sometimes it's possible to enjoy life.
The Stallman section was teasing, but the wish was sincere.

The developer in India who will be paid for his work can share the joy. So long as his labor isn't confiscated and handed free to the world, he can look forward to a career in which his efforts are productive and help his family more than anyone had thought possible even a few years ago.

Elsewhere, the loss of that work has to be replaced by projects at least as profitable as those lost. IP, protecting ownership, is essential, but the developed world is betting on creating new products people want to buy.
Let's hope we succeed.
