Once again Anton you totally miss the point

Everyone thinks the US system stinks. The EU
system will never be like the US system.

The whole part of the right wing plan "the
American Century" concerned with these patents is
already derailed. (and badly).
This isn't some kind of landgrab, and although
some US corporations are corrupting EU officials,
they're getting discovered and removed.

Once again by characterising the issue as a
landgrab
"Can't have US corporations get all the patents."
you're showing that you're actually totally
disconnected from the reality of this situation.
Sort of like those that think the Iraq war is
going to plan. Oh yeah right on the line.
