Would have been nice to have some of these provisions before SCO
Then they would have lost their right to distribute all of the GPL code they are still distributing. Really, the SCO suit has been very good for open source. It has created a lot more awarness of open source, and it is forcing people to clean up their act. It is also driving a lot of changes to the GPL that will help protect us in the future.

I also really liked Eric Raymonds idea that people would lose the right to use all open source software by suing people using the GPL. We also need to update the OpenSource definition to go along with the new GPL, to get protective clauses in all open source licenses. I would also like to see the ability to link any open source software with GPL. Kind of like the MySQL FOSS exception.
