this bothers me...
It bothers me that some guy(s) in Redmond, WA determine(s)
which e-mail program I should use in order to communicate
with the rest of the world.

Just as the same folks wanted to dictate which web browser one
should use.

Decency, on the other hand, dictates that software
manufacturers ought to stick to open standards. So let's go for
Linux, MacOSX, *BSD, Solaris,...
