Microsoft started in a garage wink
Everybody has to start somewhere. Sure, they're not going to put Microsoft out of business anytime soon, but Firefox has actually become a viable alternative. We haven't seen this many people switch to an alternative browser since the Netscape/IE browser wars!

"And right now the open source alternatives to IE and Outlook are not good enough for me to make the switch."

I tried Firefox, and never looked back - and I don't think I'll ever try IE again until it at least offers tabbed browsing, and doesn't mess up my CSS.

"I will keep watching them, and hopefully, in the near future, they will reach a caliber that will convince me to make the switch."

Other than lack of ActiveX, I don't think Firefox (with a few plugins) is missing anything that IE has. I consider it to be at least of equal caliber.
