Good Start - But Hardly a Competitor

Firefox is a good browser, but like any other browser, has it's flaws.
Thunderbird is an OK mail client, but hardly a competitor to MS Outlook.

I think the two apps have a lot of potential, but all this blah, blah about how they are threatening the MS throne, is just that...blah, blah.

I am all for competition, and will gladly try new products, but I am not going to dump my current apps for something new, unless the new products are truly better than what I have now.

And right now the open source alternatives to IE and Outlook are not good enough for me to make the switch. I will keep watching them, and hopefully, in the near future, they will reach a caliber that will convince me to make the switch.
