Mozilla's Lightning to strike Outlook?
The Mozilla Foundation is hatching yet another software project to challenge a key Microsoft title.

Saying its to challenge a key Microsoft title might be a slight stretch in words. How about they are doing it out of neccessity, or because the current Mozilla email programs lack the functionality that Lightning can provide?

I'm really looking forward to a release of Lightning, this is something I've been wanting in Thunderbird for a long time. The calender extension just didn't cut it for me. I need something to pop up and tell me about meetings, notes, and reminders as soon as I open the email client.
