You seem to forget ...
SCO is suing IBM for contract issues. They never have made patent claims. Their copyright claims have been vague and they have never put forth any convincing evidence for those claims. There have now been a number of court appearances by SCO and they have consistantly come out on the losing end. DrDos didn't carry any liabilities when Novell bought it. Unixware does. Nobody in the world holds as many computing patents as IBM, and IBM is suing SCO for patent infringment. Whoever buys SCO had better be able to eat that dogfood. Even Microsoft is afraid to touch them, instead they sent in BayStar. And BayStar dropped them like a hot potato. SCO is poison and probably some company will be stupid enough to buy them and, just like BayStar, they will find they have a hold of a third rail. SCO is dead meat.
