Carl Rapson, a well know Microsoft dill.
"If Microsoft had a history of using patents as a weapon, you would be right. But so far there is no history. So I think my original analogy stands."

The threats for Microsoft in the past were almost nil. But the threats under OSS and Linux are here today and are very damaging to Microsoft as a business. Things changed a lot.
