Great news for everybody but Microsoft.
Microsoft is desperate to use intelectual property to deny Linux and open source in general a critical mass. Looks like at least Europe will be a big enough software patent free zone to cause a lot problems for Microsoft. Microsoft will have to settle for screwing with US companies.
