The Knowledge of consumers is up to 35%. I've been hearing discussions about it in supermarket lineups while sitting in fast food joints. all over the place. The people know and care. I like RFID but i too am worried about the pirvacy issues. But less than most. This is because most passive RFID tags have a range of at most a few feet and the only information they carry is unique # that is useless without the database it's linked to. now I know that there are tags that can and do carry more information but they are mostly tags of the active varitiy and will not be used in item level tagging.
