Win vs. Linux desktop management
Yes, Ximian Red Carpet was only recently "rolled into" ZENworks, and doesn't yet have some features common to the other ZENworks-managed platforms. I understand future versions will use a common management interface for Win and Linux desktops, and that the Linux side of that will have the missing features. Those include identity-based desktop policy enforcement, application availability, etc.

I guess that could be called catch-up mode, but effective desktop management is a moving target anyway, so there are always more improvements needed. What ZENworks has today is the best there is for Linux desktops, so I'm pleased. Novell won't be in catch-up mode for long. They're betting heavily on a bright Linux future. So am I.
