Customers will suffer
The thing that could happen is that Larry drop the Oracle apps (which suck) and use the PeopleSoft apps. The other thing is, those current PeopleSoft Customers will now be forced to move over to the Oracle DB. I will bet there will be many customers that are going to drop the support service. There are many consultants out there that can support the companies for a lot less in the long run.

This may be a good deal for the share holders. but not the customers.
