Two Questions
First question: "Today, applications encapsulate data. In the future, applications will be able to read and write data created with multiple applications," Muglia said. "Information opens up dramatically." Does this mean that I will now be able to use a good work processor to view .Doc files, rather than bloated klunky Word?
Second question: How does this metadata get into the file system, is there a form we must fill out to save a file? Do I have to tell the OS who is in each picture, what the subject is and why I took it? Do I need to enter data no every memo and report about who it is to, what is it about, who or what is referenced, and what conclusions or recomendations are reached?
If I choose not to fill out the form, what benefit is this file system to me?
How much bigger will the files become? At the present, a .Doc word file is between 5 and 8 times the size of a .Txt file with the same words in it. I am afraid of bloat and more bloat.
