Except that....
..point cast was push technology, not pull. Pointcast was also a full-blown client program with various ticker implementations, not desktop widgets as currently deployed in Konfabulator, DesktopSidebar, AveDesk, etc.

But hey, thanks for the stroll down memory lane. I loved Pointcast when it was around.
