Typical Microsoft lies.
No, it is not the vast majority of proprietary software companies in the EU that want it.

It is Microsoft who wants it 'so bad'.

For the Microsofties, anything that Microsoft wants it is spinned to be the 'vast majority of the people' want. So predictable just like the overused cliche that Microsoft is America and anyone hurting Microsoft is anti-American and hurting Microsoft is hurting the 'whole' America.
