That's true for 3rd party apps
But IE, WMP, IIS, Exchange, MS SQL, even Office, those are MS apps being developed alongside the OS. I know IE is 64 bit, but last I saw WMP was still 32 bit. And what about those minor built in apps like notepad, wordpad, the calculator, image viewers, etc., not to mention server tools? Are they 32 or 64?

The reason I ask is because there are competitors, which I shall not name so as to not start a flame war, which do deliver on 64 bit browsers, media players, office suites, text editors, web servers, databases, and groupware. Windows will not be considered equal until it can match.

OK, I'll name one competitor to make this point: It'd be interesting to see if Firefox source builds under Win64. And hey, speaking of that, what about 64 bit compilers? Are they around yet?
