Simply not true.
"Those that abandon Oracle because the product 'breaks' on Windows are likely so committed to Windows anyway that they wouldn't use Oracle if it weren't available on Windows."

Sure, go ahead and be so committed to Windows. But that is going to keep the IT department stuck with low-end systems and big headaches with sysadmin tasks on Windows (a well-known fact). Do you want to transport batches of more than 50 passengers on buses or are you going to transport them in 50 motorcycles? Go figure.

Windows does not support full back-end support and Microsoft wants that and so is using Unisys as a Microsoft 'mask' to lure Oracle into Microsoft's hand.

Can't remember? Microsoft had been trying to use Unisys to jump into high-end legacy systems but it got nowhere because the bulk of high-end legacy systems run on Unix and huge dbs like DB2 and Oracle. Right now, Windows is stuck while Linux offers full back-end support for the high-end systems including legacies and high-end db suppport.

Nope, Oracle is better off to stay the course. Don't offer Microsoft the ladder to climb over Oracle.
