Oracle, you better watch out for Microsoft.
Don't promote Oracle on Windows because Microsoft has a lot more to gain from this proposal than yourself. Microsoft is using Unisys to set a deadly trap for Oracle.

If Microsoft wants Oracle to support Windows, Microsoft must be forced to abandon its MS SQL Server product. If you are going to allow Microsoft in your territory, seize Microsoft's weapon. That way, it shows a willingness by Microsoft not to compete with Oracle in the database market for business software. You don't help a competitor to compete against yourself. That is the most stupid thing you can do.

Second, Microsoft is probably using Unisys to try to steal trade or high-end database business software technology secrets.

Oracle should continue to focus on Unix and Linux for business software. Put Windows on the backbench.

Microsoft is desperate because its enterprise strategy is going nowhere since among many, IBM and Oracle, have shut Microsoft out of legacy systems compatibility. Enterprises stop expanding using Windows because there is no more a top-down solution. The only top-down solution available today are in Unix and Linux.
