Zone Alarm Pro (3X & 4X) that the pop-up & banner ad stoppers work really well.
Also one can block VB Scripting, Java scripts, embedded objects, e.g. java, actixe X and mime type integrated objects, but just to be safe I've disabled Active Scripting in I.E.
I've never had a problem with I.E. (any version), but someone has to dig for flaws for others to exploit.
If these flaws weren't found & posted, the problem with I.E. would be basically a non-issue IMHO.
Also good Antivirus & Firewall s/w & h/w is definately a must these days with any OS!!!
Especially a Microsoft un-Operative System.
