Why wouldn't you? I mean if I own a billboard and I own donut shop then I'd sure post advertisments on my billboard.

Nothing ethically wrong with doing so.

I think you are confusing conflicts of interest where one party is supposed act on your behalf but due to conflict of interest appears to or actually is not acting on your behalf.

In this case ZDNET is not in conflict of interest in reporting a tech story involving them as that is acting on behalf of the sharehold who they are supposed to be acting on the behalf of.
