Well ummm I don't think so
It is important to remember that the premise in the story is that Kazaa itself is the spyware not what is bundled with it. I think CA is wrong here. The **USE** of Kazaa maybe more of a pest problem when a network slows down for those of us that do not use Kazaa.

The "free" version of Kazaa is bundled with what we commonly call "spyware" and that is where the unnecessary registry entries comes from. Again not Kazaa. Kazaa like any other proggie comes with unused functions by the user this may account for some of the referenced reg entries but then again most all programs are laiden with unused functions, does that make those programs spyware?

I know I am nit picking here in my reply but for some of us the ***USE*** of Kazaa may put the program as a pest because it does slow down networks. If the use of Kazaa alone (no spyware added with the initail download) and the computer is slowing down it seems to me that a new computer to maybe in order.

This sounds more like one of those stories that MPAA or RIAA solicitated to add more fuel to their fire.
