I'm dutch and no manager
I work in the IT department for a large(by dutch standards) addiction treatment center in the netherlands. The idea that the USA is the only country that knows how to make quality goods is outdated and probably never was true. I'm not a nationalist but philips (invented the cd and was a front runner in dvd and other developments) is a dutch company that seems to do well. Mercedes (german) makes high quality cars and is recognized for that world wide and there are many quality companies like that over here. But that isn't the point i was trying to make. Protectionism has never worked in the long run so why believe it would now?
