Global market
"Also... there are a lot of US companies that would love to
sell their goods to the potentialy enormous markets of the
developing countries. If India get's these kind of
investments the national income will rise meaning more
money to buy just those goods your companies would like
to sell. Keeping develping countries backwards is bad
buisiness. Western markets have a large level of saturation,
the reason why your washing machine only lasts a few years
so you will have to buy a new one after a few years, so new
markets opening up are very atractive for western
companies."

Oh boy!You seem to throw slogans around like those
managers craving for offshore outsourcing.

1. US money will leak abroad. No they will not return as this
is USA that is rich enough to invest in poorer foreign
countries rather than other way around. You have to pay for
foreign service somehow and foreigners will not accept
peanuts.

2. India is over 1 billion popultaion. Do you really think that
uncontrolled globalization will not simply sink economy of
only 275 million country even thoug it is so rich? Do you
still want to share your salary with few poor folks? I bet
many managers making decisions about offshore
outsourcing don't think that one day their job will be
outsourced too. I hope it will... and that's not just hope - it
will happen with foreign expansion and progress of
globalization. So they may think about this today as well.

3. Where is that "more money" you mentioned? In pockets
of richest people? Or perhaps you have excess of savings?
Then donate something to us.

4. Saturation of what? Be more precise. Slogans don't work.
If you want to be treated seriously than express yourself
precisely.

5. Quality of washing machine is dictaed by the fact that
those "mangers" see that forcing market to buy new goods
is the way of perpetuating market. That's why you find
many mediocre goods on the market.

I have to spend hours to drop some cheap crap in the USA
stores (I would get several levels better products if I was
back in Europe) and find something of a good quality. To be
more paradoxal those high quality goods seem to almost
always have a tag "Made in USA". Believe me. It is only
difficult to find them and they usually cost more but thank
to them I do not need to browse through that pile of
garbage mail to find another "good deal" to buy something
every year because old stuff broke. I prefer buying more
expensive, but at quality that lasts years. Then I save time
for other activities... like trying to kick out or redicule
another idiot US manager;)... who frequently has very
narrow view and knowledge of life.

Good luck
