Freedom of speech includes my right not to listen
Robert, What about my right not to listen? This is not a freedom of speech issue because all these organizations still have the right to solicit or express a view. I want the right to tell them to stop bothering me. I am not quashing their freedom of speech just their liberty to bother me.

If I wish to go to a polical ralley then I am opting in. If I choose not to listen any longer then I am opting out with the reasonable expectation that the politicos are not going to follow me to my home to continue with their diatribe.

But more to the point because information is the coin of the realm, as long as there is money to be made the spammers will continue. This law has no real teeth because of the nature of the anonymity of the internet.
