Anton, when you get fired
You can learn the skills required to admin Linux, 'cause it will be in demand very soon. Besides, writing sofware and giving it away is NOT displacing anyones job. In fact it has created alot of job opportunities that we are just beginning to realize.

BTW, do you write software programs? If so, and you write proprietary software, why would you get fired and replaced for free by an os alternative writer, when YOU could point out to your boss that there is a free alternative that would work? Sounds like you might get a raise instead.

All of the software out there has to work somehow. Just because some of it is free doesn't mean it will magically install and configure itself.
